Professor Anne-Laure Mention is the Director of the Global Business Innovation Enabling Impact Platform (GBI-EIP – Previously Enabling Capability Platform, ECP) and a (full) Professor of Management at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. Anne-Laure is a Visiting Professor at Université de Liège, Belgium and the Deputy Head of the Centre d’Evaluation de la Performance des Entreprises. She is also a visiting Professor at Tampere University, Finland, and a Fintech & Blockchain Fellow at Singapore University of Social Sciences.

Anne-Laure is currently leading several European H2020 projects as chief investigator and has raised over 6 M EUR in H2020 funding over 2018-2020. She sits on the scientific or advisory board of several international organisations in the field of technology and innovation management. For bridging industry-academia cooperation, Anne-Laure has been awarded the prestigious IBM Faculty Award twice for her research on innovation.

Anne-Laure is also one of the Founding Editors of the Journal of Innovation Management (JIM), and currently holds the position of Director, Community Engagement & Impact to the International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM) Board, (previously, from 2012-2018, was the Deputy Head of the Advisory Board, until its discontinuation). Anne-Laure’s research has been featured in top level journals and outreach publications globally. She is a co-editor of a book series on Open Innovation, published by World Scientific/Imperial College Press. Anne-Laure has built one of the largest research teams focusing on open innovation research across Asia Pacific with research projects sitting at the intersection of strategy, technology, and people, across units of analysis. Her research interests revolve around open and collaborative innovation, university-industry cooperation, innovation in business-to-business services, with a particular focus on the financial industry and FinTech, technology management, and business venturing. She has been awarded the prestigious IBM Faculty Award twice for her research on innovation. She has been awarded the prestigious IBM Faculty Award twice for her research on innovation and most recently was recipient of the 2023 ABDC Network Award for Innovation & Excellence in International Engagement & Education, for the H2020  OpenInnoTrain Project, Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (MSCA-RISE) Scheme.
